Within the normal range of house buying and selling, I expect to work as hard for you whether the price is £150,000, £300,000 or £450,000; so, for sales and purchases up to £500,000 value my fees are:

Freehold Sales £1,300
Leasehold Sales £1,650

Freehold Purchases £1,500
Leasehold Purchases £1,850

For very low value transactions, such as buying a bit of garden from a neighbour, I will assess the complexity and advise accordingly, but expect at least a £500 fee.

For higher value properties, a fee estimate would be to add £125 for each extra £100,000 on the price.

If the property is unregistered there will be an additional roughly £300-£500 depending on the complexity of the title.

Bank transfers are charged at £25 each.

Commercial property sale and purchase fees start with the residential fees above plus £200 (for higher insurance levies), but will then vary according to complexity.

VAT at 20% is added on all those charges.

There will be standard additional charges for Land Registry fees, Stamp Duty Land Tax (SDLT) on purchases, electronic identity checks.
